Toyota is conducting a recall on several Lexus models from several model years to address a potential fuel leak associated with the 3.5-litre V-6.
A total of 119,900 vehicles (made up of Lexus IS 350 from 2006-13, IS 350C from 2010-14, and GS 350 and GS 450h from 2007-11) are being recalled in North America, 4,900 of which are in Canada.
The affected cars are all equipped with the 3.5-litre V-6, whose fuel pulsation dampers are fitted with a diaphragm material that may harden over time and crack, causing a fuel leak. In the presence of an ignition source, it could result in a vehicle fire.
Toyota is not aware of any issues associated with the issue, and is notifying owners by mail in late August, requesting they bring their cars in to have the fuel deliver pipe replaced.
Owners can get more information on this and other recalls, as well as seeing if their vehicles are involved in any recalls, at www.lexus.ca/recall, or by calling Lexus Customer Service at (800) 265-3987.
