AutoGlym sample kit

Father’s Day is Sunday June 17 and if you're still looking for something that won’t bankrupt you, how about an AutoGlym sample kit? For only $6.29 at Canadian Tire you can gift wrap a small package that will help dad clean and polish his vehicle and let him try out some new products he may want to add to his vehicle-care cabinet.

You may not be familiar with the AutoGlym brand, but these folks have been developing car care products since 1965 from their base in England. By 1978, the company had a presence throughout Europe and in 1991 it earned the “Royal Warrants of Appointment to HRH The Queen Mother” and “The Royal Warrant of Appointment to HRH The Prince of Wales.” A third warrant was granted in 2004 – this one from “Her Majesty The Queen.”

If it good enough to clean and polish the vehicles of the Royal family, dad will probably find it satisfactory.

I did. The sample kit includes two small (100-ml) containers – a foaming car wash and a resin polish. A capful of the wash in a bucket of water was more than sufficient for cleaning two big vehicles. Everybody knows (don’t you) that you should never use hand, dish or laundry soaps to wash a car, so the AutoGlym foaming wash is just what the doctor – or Royal family ordered.

I tried the resin polish on the hood of one vehicle and a fender of another and found it to be very easy to apply and remove. It left a glittering shine in both cases

The kit also contains a fresh air thing to hang somewhere in your vehicle. I have never owned a vehicle that required assistance of this manner, so did not try it. But I do have several other AutoGlym products on my detailing shelf.
