Toyota Corolla
The Toyota Corolla was first introduced to the world in 1966. The Corolla was the world’s best selling car by 1974 and then in 1997 it was the best-selling model in the world again. Corollas were first built in Canada in 1986 at the brand new Alliston plant, but today, the vehicle is built in Cambridge. In 2019, there were more than 47,000 Corollas sold in Canada, ranking behind the Civic in car sales.
