Subaru has confirmed that, as well as introducing the next-generation WRX sport sedan at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show next week, it will also debut a concept version of the 2015 Legacy sedan.
The new Legacy Concept is said to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the Subaru Legacy and provides a look at the styling cues for future Legacy models.
The Legacy Concept features a more coupe-like silhouette and introduces a new front-end design with a hexagonal grille and a sharper hawk-eye headlamp design.
Flared wheel arches surround 21-inch wheels and a pronounced character line flows from the front flare the length of the body-side and into the short rear deck, ending in the tail-lamps, which echo the hawk-eye headlamp design.
The overall effect is a look more like a Hyundai Sonata or Kia Optima than a current Legacy.
If the production version of the new Legacy truly incorporates much of the Concept's design it will be arguably the most attractive Subaru ever.
