Subaru has confirmed that the all-new Subaru "WRX" (US specifications model) will make its world premiere at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show on November 20.
A concept version of the new WRX, that was said to hint at the design language for this next generation model was shown earlier this year at the New York International Auto Show.
Lower, wider and sleeker than its predecessor, theWRX Concept combined turbocharged power and AWD grip with a more agile and athletic form. It was said to incorporate an even greater focus on sharp handling, steering and a communicative chassis.
A pronounced power bulge on the hood provided clearance for a new turbocharged engine and intercooler, while a prominent hexagonal grille form and deep lower valences with air intakes were designed to enhance aerodynamics, add downforce and aid engine cooling.
To reduce weight and help lower its centre-of-gravity even further, the Concept featured a carbon-fibre roof.
How much of the Concept's character will translate to the production model remains to be seen, but the accompanying teaser photo suggests that much of the styling remains intact.
