The Canadian International AutoShow ended its 10 day run on Sunday, February 23rd with almost 300,000 visitors passing through its doors.

The total attendance figure of 299,527 placed it well within the top ten performances in the show’s 41 year history.

Asked for comment, the show’s General Manager Tom Tonks noted, "The 2% reduction from the 2013 event is well within normal attendance fluctuations and all the more remarkable when one considers the impact of the Winter Olympics and regional weather issues experienced by the show this year."

The CIAS is Canada’s largest consumer show of any kind, in both attendance and size, and is said to influences more than 80,000 vehicle sales annually.

This year's CIAS featured 40 new production and concept vehicles making their first-time ever appearance at a Canadian auto show.
