Ram is stepping out into the night with new editions of its light-duty and heavy-duty pickups, namely a Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition and Heavy Duty Big Horn and Laramie Night Editions.
“Along with increasing capability, technology and efficiency, Ram is always looking for ways to create more comfort and refinement for our customers. The new Limited Black Edition is another example of how we deliver the most luxurious pickups in the industry,” said Reid Bigland, Head of Ram Brand. “Additionally, the new Heavy Duty Big Horn and Laramie Night Editions now offer an even wider selection of personalized content.”
Based on the Limited trim level, the 2020 Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition features the usual blacked out trim accents — grille with RAM cross member, grille surround, LED headlamp surrounds, bumpers, badges, tow hooks, door handles, mirror housings and exhaust tips — and 22-inch black wheels. It also gets added or modified equipment, such as a sport performance hood and cargo bed tonneau cover.
The whole Limited range is available for the package — 4x2 or 4x4 drivetrain powered by the 3.0-litre V-6 EcoDiesel, 5.7-litre HEMI V-8 or 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 with eTorque.
Meanwhile, the 2020 Heavy Duty Night Editions will be available on Big Horn or Laramie models, also with a monochromatic exterior enhanced by black grille, but with a surround to match the body colour, black headlight surrounds, black badges, black 20-inch wheels (17-inch black wheels on duallys) and black taillight surrounds.
The Night Edition is available on Ram 2500 and 3500, Crew Cabs and Mega Cabs, in 4x2 or 4x4 configuration, and powered by the 6.4-litre HEMI V-8 or 6.7-litre Cummins inline-6 turbodiesel.
The Ram 1500 Limited Black Edition trucks is reaching dealerships now, while the Ram Heavy Duty Night Editions will arrive closer to the end of the year.
