Bugatti is collaborating with Giorgio Armani on an artisanal collection of leather goods and clothing, carrying the label Giorgio Armani for Bugatti.
Taking the desirable qualities of both brands, the Giorgio Armani for Bugatti collection offers customers timelessly-elegant products distinguished by top-quality materials and skilled craftsmanship, and is meant “for a sophisticated man who constantly seeks out exclusive luxury,” says a company release.
“When one of the most influential and highly recognised fashion and lifestyle brands and the most exclusive super sports car brand in the world, which has its roots in art and design, join forces, this is an unusual, exciting and inspiring project,” said Wolfgang Dürheimer, President of Bugatti. “The result is an extremely well-made combination of the style and perfection of Giorgio Armani and the Bugatti brand DNA.”
“It was very natural to come together with Bugatti. We both worship things that are made well, made to last, created out of the best materials,” added Giorgio Armani. “The capsule condenses this encounter in a series of clothes and accessories designed to be worn by men who only look for the best and who live an active and dynamic lifestyle.”
Launching for fall 2016/winter 2017, the collection features details that reference the iconic motifs of Bugatti, with the horseshoe emblem used on pendants for the bags, and the signature colour blue used on inner linings of bags, on interior pockets of clothing, and on the treads and insoles of footwear. The collection will be available in cognac, army green and blue.
The highlight of the line is a hand-crafted briefcase available in either soft calfskin or lined matte crocodile suede. A matching weekend bag is also available, as well as small leather accessories such as belts, wallets and iPad cases, among others. The clothing line cashmere sweaters, coat and blouson jacket in double cashmere, leather jackets and even denim jeans, with handmade flocking to make them velvety soft.
Other items include calfskin sneakers with crocodile details, a crocodile-skin sports driver blazer (in cognac and army green), and a double-cashmere fabric cap trimmed in Bugatti blue.
Manufactured in limited quantities and numbered editions, the Giorgio Armani for Bugatti capsule collection items will be available in August 2016 at select Giorgio Armani boutiques and in Etorre Bugatti lifestyle boutiques.
