Buick is adding some sportiness to its mid-size sedan for 2019, with the introduction of a LaCrosse Sport Touring (ST, for short).
Available this summer, the 2019 LaCrosse ST is distinguished by a monotone exterior treatment, featuring body-colour grille surround and Buick-porthole side vents (both of which are chrome on other LaCrosses), black mesh grille, 19-inch midnight silver wheels, and a subtle rear spoiler.
Powered by a 310-hp 3.6-litre V-6 reined by a 9-speed automatic, the LaCrosse ST will be available in White Frost Tricoat, Satin Steel Metallic, Quicksilver Metallic, Red Quartz Tintcoat and Ebony Twilight Metallic. It will not be available, at least initially, in the new LaCrosse exterior colours (Carrageen Metallic and Pewter Metallic)
“The LaCrosse ST emphasizes the importance of design, while also complementing the safety, refinement and technology of our flagship sedan,” said Phil Brook, vice president of Buick and GMC Marketing. “The LaCrosse exemplifies what we mean by attainable luxury, offering Buick’s signature QuietTuning, spirited and efficient performance and the latest in-car connectivity all at a tremendous value to customers.”
Also new for 2019 LaCrosse models in the fall will be a new air ionizer designed to improve air quality in the cabin and eliminate odours. It will a standard fitment on Avenir models.
More information on the 2019 LaCrosse ST and other LaCrosse models will be available closer to launch.
