Cadillac is celebrating its V-Series with Crystal White Frost Editions for the new high-performance versions of its ATS and CTS lines.
The announcement coincides with the launch of the first V-versions for the compact ATS line, coupe and sedan, and the new generation CTS-V. The Crystal White Frost Editions feature special low-gloss Crystal White Frost exterior paint (hence the name) that was seen on the world announcement of the V-Series at the 2015 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. It also includes select V-Series wheels and parts of the Carbon Fibre and Luxury option packages available on V-Series models.
The ATS-V sedan and coupe add 18-inch V-Series wheels, carbon-fibre front splitter, hood vent and rear diffuser, composite rocker extensions and rear spoiler, adaptive HID headlamps and LED running lights, enhanced Cadillac CUE infotainment system, and sport alloy wheels. The sedan also gets split-folding rear seats (already standard issue on ATS-V coupe).
All 2016 Cadillac CTS-V Crystal White Frost Edition gets all the carbon fibre goodies listed above, as well as a carbon fibre rear spoiler, 19-inch V-Series forged-aluminum After Midnight painted wheels, heated rear outboard seats, split-folding rear seat, rear window shades (power on the rear window), and tri-zone climate control.
Options include a sunroof, Gold or Red Brembo brake callipers, Recaro performance seats, suede microfiber steering wheel and shifter, performance data and video recorder, and advanced safety and security depending on model (including head up display on ATS-Vs). The ATS-V sedan and coupe also get the option of a paddle shift eight-speed automatic.
Due in select dealerships by the end of October, only 99 Crystal White Frost Editions (39 ATS-V coupes, 31 ATS-V sedans, 29 CTS-V sedans) are available, with prices starting at $71,460 U.S. for ATS-V sedans, $73,660 for ATS-V coupes and $94,990 for CTS-Vs. It doesn’t look as if any will be making the trek over the border.
