The Ram truck brand is expanding its pickup range with two upscale mid-year offerings – the Ram 1500 Rebel and Ram 1500 Laramie Limited. Both will carry into the 2016 model year.
Ram 1500 Rebel
The Ram 1500 Rebel incorporates an off-road look with increased ride height, standard 33-inch tires, skid plates and tow hooks.
Its design includes an all-new, blacked-out grille with a prominent “RAM” badge that departs from the brand’s established “crosshair” design. The grille tops a black off-road front bumper with a powder-coated surface.
The Rebel also incorporates a powder-coated, billet silver skid plate, front tow hooks, 33-inch Toyo tires and an all-new 17-inch aluminum wheels.
Inside, it features seats finished in red and black with fabric inserts embossed with Toyo tire tread patterns that match its actual footprint. The standard heated front seats also employ other Rebel-specific features, such as a red ram’s head embroidery on the headrests.
Canadian pricing for the Rebel 4x4 Crew Cab with 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 engine starts at $51,895. Opting for the 5.7-litre Hemi V-8 adds $1,000 to that tab.
Ram 1500 Laramie Limited
The new Ram 1500 Laramie Limited steps up to a higher level of sophistication and attention to detail, featuring all-black, full-leather seating; real wood interior components and unique badges The Limited is a “black-tie” luxury alternative to the popular southwestern-themed Laramie Longhorn edition pickup.
Like the Rebel it gets a new but different grille that deviates from Ram's traditional cross-hair pattern. Called a "billet port" design, it incorporates bright “RAM” lettering at its centre.
