The Automobile Journalists Association of Canada (AJAC) has announced the finalists for each category in its 2015 Canadian Car and Truck/Utility Vehicle of the Year awards program.

The 'Best New' vehicles in each of these categories will be revealed at a press conference in Toronto on December 2, 2014. Each of those winners will then be eligible for the overall 2015 Canadian Car or Truck/Utility Vehicle of the Year award, which will be announced and presented at the Canadian International Auto Show on February 12, 2015.

The results are not based on balloting by 73 AJAC-member automotive journalists who drove the competitive vehicles back-to-back on the same day, under the same conditions, as part of a five-day TestFest held in Niagara Falls in october.

Those 1,640 individual test drives generated more than 160,000 data points, which were tabulated and analyzed by the accounting firm KPMG to determine the winners.
