2020 Jaguar E-Pace Chequered Flag edition

Jaguar is celebrating the success of its compact E-Pace sport utility with a special Chequered Flag edition that features upgraded standards and unique premium design touches.

Available in three exterior colours — Photon Red, Corris Grey and Yulong White — the E-Pace Chequered Flag edition comes with chequered flag badge (literally) in the fender vents and 19-inch Satin Dark Grey wheels, as well as specific treadplates and Ebony Grained leather upholstery with red stitching.

“The Jaguar E-PACE has been an enormous success for Jaguar UK, swiftly becoming our best-selling model in its first full year of sales,” says Rawdon Glover, Managing Director of Jaguar Land Rover UK. “With this new Chequered Flag special edition – featuring unique colour options and a whole host of upgraded standard features – E-PACE becomes a more enticing package than ever before.”

The exterior features R-Dynamic body-coloured bumpers, black exterior pack, twin tailpipes and the signature J-blade in the LED headlamps, as well as keyless entry and a powered tailgate.

The E-Pace Chequered Flag Edition is available with Adaptive Dynamics, which improves handling response, body control and ride by monitoring vehicle movements every 2 milliseconds and calculating the needed damping force every 10 milliseconds to provide near instantaneous response to driver inputs and road surface changes. The result is reduced body roll and better vehicle control.

The comprehensive list of standard features includes a panoramic sunroof in an Ebony Morzine headliner, 10-way adjustable heated front seats, heated R-Dynamic-branded steering wheel with black aluminum shift paddles, and 12.3-inch thin film transistor driver display.

The E-Pace Chequered Flag model also comes with Jaguar’s AI-based self-learning Smart Settings technology that learns the driver’s habits to serve up key functionality (seat adjustments, climate and infotainment settings).

“Jaguar’s first compact SUV successfully blends its sports car DNA with a smaller, more versatile, package,” says Ian Callum, Jaguar design chief. “With the addition of the Chequered Flag model, the E-PACE model range offers more choice than ever.”

There is no word yet on whether the Chequered Flag Edition will be available in North America.
