There weren't as many concept cars at this year's Detroit auto show as there sometimes are. But those that were on display were as eye-catching as ever.
Of those, the Volvo Concept XC Coupé was awarded the title "Best Concept Car," at the annual 2014 EyesOn Design Awards following the show.
It also won an award for "Best use of Colour, Graphics and Materials."
The EyesOn Design Award jury comprises a group of prominent designers and design experts from both automakers and academia.
The new Volvo Concept XC Coupé, which made its debut at the show, is the second of three concepts, including the original Volvo Concept Coupé, to showcase Volvo's future design direction and its new Scalable Product Architecture (SPA).
The SPA platform will underpin most cars from Volvo Cars in the future, starting with the all-new Volvo XC90 that premieres later this year.
