Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA) is addling a sportier flair to the Dodge Durango sport utility, with a new GT Rallye Appearance Package for the sporty GT trim.

Available in seven colours (Vice White, White Knuckle, Octane Red, Redline Red, DB Black, Granite and In-Violet), the limited-run Durango GT Rallye features a performance hood with cold air intake and two heat extractors, performance front fascia and LED fog lights (borrowed from Durango R/T and SRT models).

Power for the Durango GT is supplied by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V-6 that makes 295 hp and 260 lb-ft of torque, granting it the ability to tow 2,812 kg, while standard stop/start helps lower emissions and improve economy. It’s coupled with an 8-speed automatic.

“Many of our customers love the performance look of the Durango R/T and Durango SRT, but are happy with the award-winning Pentastar V-6 engine’s 295 horsepower and the excellent fuel efficiency it delivers,” said Steve Beahm, FCA’s North American Head of Passenger Cars, Dodge//SRT, Chrysler and FIAT. “This new Durango GT Rallye Appearance Package gives those three-row SUV buyers the best of both worlds.”

The GT sits in the middle of the 7-passenger Durango range, and comes in rear- or all-wheel drive. Included in its extensive equipment list is leather bucket seating with grippy suede inserts, heated front and middle row seats, power liftgate and 20-inch Hyper Black aluminum wheels.

The Rallye package can swap out the wheels for Brass Monkey burnished bronze versions, and can also be coupled with the Blacktop package (gloss black badges, grille and exterior mirrors).

Notable interior appointments include a programmable instrument cluster, Blu-ray and DVD player, 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen, Android Auto and Apple Carplay compatibility, and the ability to use the rearview camera to check on trailers while the SUV is in forward motion.
