The 2019 Ford F-150 Limited gets a new high-output engine to make it the most powerful F-150 ever and most-powerful light-duty pickup in its class.

It also gets updates to its interior with new presentations to make a desirable combination of power and luxury (a previously unheard off mix in the pickup market).

“F-150 Limited customers create their own success. The truck is their reward,” said Todd Eckert, Ford truck group marketing manager. “They wanted more power, so we combined Raptor’s engine with Limited’s business-class features to deliver Baja fierceness, boardroom style and the grit to tackle tough jobs.”

The EcoBoost 3.5-litre turbocharged V-6 generates 450 hp and 510 lb-ft of torque, delivering power to all four wheels through a 10-speed automatic. And it gets a surfeit of technology upgrades, including 360-degree camera, and mobile Wi-Fi that can handle up to 10 devices.

The updated Limited leather interior in new Camel Back 2-tone includes a Miko suede headliner, leather-topped instrument panel and door panels, heated/ventilated/massaging leather front seats, heated steering wheel, premium Bang & Olufsen audio system, ash swirl wood trim, aluminum bezels and, because it’s a limited-edition, a laser-etched plaque on the centre console that designates the sequence number. And, of course, it comes with Sync 3, complete with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

“It was important for us to get this interior just right as we continue to raise the bar for premium pickup trucks,” said Aileen Barraza, Ford color and materials manager. “The materials we chose to incorporate are authentic, distinctive and durable.”

For exterior presentation, the 2019 F-150 Limited features raised Limited script on the hood, polished 22-inch aluminum wheels, and unique satin finish on grille, window trim, door handles and tailgate. A new dual exhaust with bumper-integrated exhaust tips finishes it off.

Equipment includes standard power deployable running boards, 2-panel sunroof, remote start and tailgate release. Pro Trailer backup assist is optional. Driving aids include standard adaptive cruise control with stop/go functionality, pre-collision assist with automatic emergency braking, active park assist, and lane-keeping assist.
