Ford encourages Mustang buyers to go for the green

New colour arrives just in time for St Patrick's Day and upcoming Spring

Just in time for St Patrick’s Day and the North American Spring that won’t be too far behind, Ford is introducing a new colour for the 2019 Mustang for owners who have a need for green.

Named Need For Green, the new colour adds to Mustang’s personalization palette and gives Mustang owners another new way to stand out from the crowd.

“This is a colour Mustang fans will celebrate because of its confident and youthful attitude,” said Barbara Whalen, Ford color and materials manager. “Need for Green is vibrant and jumps out at you, giving Mustang owners a look that definitely stands out in a crowd.”

Need for Green joins a colour palette that also includes new Velocity Blue and Dark Highland Green (the colour of the new Bullitt Mustang to mimic the fastback from the 1968 Steve McQueen movie), vibrant hues such as Race Red, Triple Yellow, Orange Fury and Kona Blue, traditional colours Oxford White, Ruby Red, Royal Crimson and Lighting Blue, and fly-under-the-radar colours such as Shadow Black, Ingot Silver and Magnetic (grey).

Need for Green will be available across the entire 2019 Mustang line, starting this summer.
