It's not the end of the year yet, but Ford of Canada has already set a new sales record with its F-Series trucks.

The F-Series will be Canada's best-selling vehicle for the 47th consecutive year and the best-selling vehicle overall for the third year in a row.

In addition, for the first time ever for any automaker, the company has already sold more than 100,000 trucks in a single year.

The record-breaking 100,000th F-Series pick-up truck was recently sold to George Taylor in Kingston, Ontario.

To celebrate that milestone, Ford of Canada will donate $10,000 to the charity of Taylor's choice and will cover the cost of all maintenance and fuel for the first 100,000 kilometres on his truck.

He has selected the SickKids Foundation to receive the $10,000 donation in his name. It will go towards enhancing patient care and research to discover new treatments and cures.

According to the company, 100,000 F-Series trucks lined up end-to-end would stretch all away across the width of Alberta and could carry more than more than 5-million bales of hay.

Ford of Canada has sold more than 2,755,788 F-Series trucks over the last 46 years in Canada.
