Long a star on the trails and desert tracks of North America, the Ford Raptor is beginning as new chapter as a colouring book star.
Available from Blue Springs Ford Parts, the colouring booklet is available as a PDF download, showing the latest Raptor in action in four black and white line drawings, ready for Raptor enthusiasts of all ages to print them out and bring them to life in unique artistic stylizations.
"Every kid I know loves trucks, and every truck enthusiast I know loves the Raptor," says Kyle Harris, director at Blue Springs Ford Parts. "We decided that a Raptor coloring book would be a fun freebie we could offer fans of all ages."
Often thought of a children’s activity, colouring has been recently identified as having therapeutic benefits for adults as well, according to research by behaviourist Nancy Curry and psychologist Tim Kasser. Their 2005 study showed that colouring had a calming effect on adults with anxiety.
Further, reports from several media organizations identified colouring as providing positive mental health benefits when used as a form of therapy for some patients, in particular those suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
To appeal to various age groups, the images in the colouring booklet feature the Ford Raptor extended cab pickup in unique situations such as water fording and off-road racing, and are simple enough to encourage children to fill in the details, while also being challenging enough for adults to paint a story.
The four images can be downloaded as a 5-page PDF file from the Blue Springs Ford Parts website.
