Ford is recalling about 228,000 vehicles to deal with a rear suspension toe-link issue.
The issue affects 2013-18 Ford Taurus SHO and Police Interceptor sedans and 2013-18 Ford Flex and Lincoln MKT large wagons/crossovers that may have developed fractures in the rear suspension toe links, particularly as they are exposed to greater full suspension articulation (jounce and rebound).
The issue could result in loss of control, though Ford is not aware of any incidents related to the condition.
Dealers will replace both rear suspension toe links with new forged toe links.
The recall affects 211,207 vehicles in the US and federalized territories, 15,281 in Canada and 1,396 in Mexico.
