Brabus Smart Fortwo Cabrio

Smart is adding a Brabus sport package to its Fortwo coupe and cabriolet on this side of the Atlantic, adding unique styling and a sportier driving experience to the city car.

The Brabus Sport package consists of unique exterior add-ons and upgraded interior appointments to give the car a distinct look, along with a lowered suspension for sportier manners, and is available for manual and automatic models on all trim levels.

The appearance package adds staggered matte grey Monoblock IX wheels (16-inch up front, 17-in the rear), shod with Yokohama performance tires (185/50R16 in front; 205/40R17 in rear), and featuring the Brabus badge prominently on the wheel centre cap. The matte grey is carried over to rear diffusor, while a front spoiler and rear apron are finished in body colour.

The interior features a Brabus 3-spoke steering wheel (wrapped in leather with grey stitching), brushed stainless steel pedals, and steering wheel paddles for the dual clutch automatic transmission. And, of course, an abundance of Brabus logos (on the shift knob and parking brake lever).

To improve handling and driving dynamics, the suspension upgrades lowers the car by 10 mm, and also includes a stiffer anti-roll bar, and Brabus’ new tuned damping system.

The package will be available on 2017 models, which go on sale in fall 2017. No word yet on price for Canada ($1,900 in the US).
