The vehicles arrived at Southampton Docks on the 5th and 6th of September, before being loaded and readied for their overseas journey. It's the seventh overseas tour for the club since 2000. "The overseas tours are complicated to co-ordinate but extremely rewarding to complete," said the club's general manager, Graham Searle. He said the vehicles' embarkation was a "lengthy four-day process."
Among the vehicles is a 1950 XK120 Roadster, 1964 E-Type S1 FHC and an XKR-S convertible, the latest Jaguar supercar.
The tour leaves Sept. 26 from Washington, D.C. and will hit Niagara Falls, Montreal and New York City. The motorcade of privately owned Jags has a combined value of (CDN) $2.35-million.
