Output for the supercar has increased to 720 hp (20 more than in the current 700-4), and it features also a new front and rear design, special paintwork and unique interior trim. The company says it is one of the most exclusive models ever produced by the brand.
The Anniversario features a carbon-fibre monocoque, 6.5-litre 12-cylinder engine and permanent all-wheel drive. It has a top speed of 350 km/h and a 0-100 km/h time of 2.9 seconds.
Front and rear fascia have been redesigned for optimal aerodynamics; front air intakes and splitter have been enlarged and extended, and small flaps set into the sides. The rear end is entirely new, with an enlarged diffuser and expanded meshwork.
The 50° Anniversario comes in Giallo Maggio (May yellow), a tribute to the favourite colour of Lambo customers since the Miura, and referencing the founding of Automobili Lamborghini in May 1963. The all-new colour features an intense glitter effect, and will be available only on this edition. Wheels are painted high-gloss black. Any of Lambo's other colours can be ordered.
The interior is upholstered in a semi-aniline leather, worked through a particular tanning and colouring process that accentuates the full grain, natural look and smoothness of the material. Colours offered are inspired by the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna, Lambo's home region.
Lamborghini will also present the Gallardo LP 560-2 50° Anniversario, painted Bianco Opalis, a shimmering white, and featuring the carbon-fibre rear wing from the Gallardo Superleggera and the transparent engine cover.
The Shanghai show opens today.
