Lexus is counting on Inspiration in putting together its latest LX, large SUV, debuting at the Los Angeles Auto Show.
“Discover the Lexus LX 570 and discover the luxury of total freedom that comes from blending performance and uncompromising refinement,” said Jennifer Barron, Director of Lexus in Canada. “Featuring a wealth of intelligent technology, advanced safety features and luxurious seating for eight, the LX lets our Lexus Guests travel wherever the mood and the moments lead – in unparalleled comfort and style.”
And the company is adding a bit more style in a new Inspiration Series for the 2019 LX – a limited edition featuring unique stealth Black Onyx exterior, black grille trimmed up in dark chrome, 21-inch black alloy wheels and a Moonlight White Semi-Aniline Leather interior with black headliner and trim, as well as a black floor mats and cargo mat.
Smoked headlamp lenses are trimmed in black, as are fog lights and windows. Around the rear, black chrome is used around taillamps and licence plate, and also on the liftgate. Opening the doors lights LED puddle lamps featuring the LX script.
Priced from $112,350, the 2019 Lexus LX 570 Inspiration Series equipment list includes colour head-up display, heated wood/leather steering wheel, heated and ventilated front and rear outboard seats, wireless charging pad, 3-zone climate control, front console cool box, rear-seat entertainment system and 450-watt Mark Levinson surround sound system with 19 speakers.
Like all LX models, power is supplied by the 383-hp 5.7-litre V-8, controlled by the 8-speed automatic. The 4-wheel drive system can be tailored to five terrains — Rock, Rock and Dirt, Mogul, Loose Rock and Mud and Sand — as well as a Crawl Control feature the aids turning, steering and hill starts.
It also has the full suite of Lexus safety assists, including blind spot monitor, rear cross traffic alert, pedestrian detection, lane departure alert, intelligent high-beam control and dynamic cruise control, among others.
