Lexus is giving its owners, and potential owners, the opportunity to try out its sport-utility vehicles in the wilderness of Tennessee’s Great Smoky Mountains, through its latest Lexus Hotel Partner.
Blackberry Mountain, a Relais & Châteaux resort located in Walland, about 22 miles south of Knoxville, Tenn., will be offering guests the Lexus Off-Road Adventure on one of the only wilderness courses of its kind in the US.
“Lexus and Blackberry Mountain are a terrific fit as we’re both passionate about delivering amazing experiences for our guests,” said Lisa Materazzo, vice president of Lexus marketing. “Our GX 460 has off-road capabilities that few luxury SUVs can match, and there’s no better way to experience them than a drive on this rugged and scenic trail.”
“I love that partnering with Lexus has allowed us to offer our guests the opportunity to explore the beautiful region we live in,” said Mary Celeste Beall, Proprietor of Blackberry Farm (which has been a Lexus Hotel Partner for many years) and Blackberry Mountain. “We always enjoy the opportunity to work with a company that shares our commitment to quality and creating memorable experiences. With the addition of the off-road course, Lexus is creating another layer of adventure for guests to immerse themselves in exploration of the Mountain.”
The 90-minute program has been custom designed through the ruggedness of the Great Smoky Mountains, putting guests in the seats of GX 460 SUVs over a course incorporating a rock crawl, side tilt, hill climb and descent, log crawl and balancing beams, and an axle twist section. A personal guide not only offers driving instruction along the trail on the 2,104-hectare property, but also points out all the majestic views and historic landmarks along the route.
Among the experiences at Blackberry Mountain are aerial yoga, mountain biking, trail running and forest bathing, to name just a few.
As with Blackberry Farm, guests at Blackberry Mountain have the use of a fleet of Lexus vehicles for 2-hour bookings. Resort and program reservations are available through the Blackberry Mountain website.
