Everybody has one – except Lexus. Almost all the other major luxury brands now offer a compact crossover vehicle (CUV), or soon will.
Acura has the RDX, Audi the Q3, BMW the X3 and Mercedes-Benz the all-new GLA. Even Lincoln is entering the fray with its MKC.
Lexus couldn't let that situation continue unaddressed for long, so enter the Lexus NX, which will be revealed at the 2014 Beijing International Auto Show next month.
The NX is the production model derived from the LF-NX concept, which appeared at the Frankfurt and Tokyo Motor Shows last fall. It will be positioned below the RX mid-size luxury CUV and will be Lexus’ first entry into the growing premium compact crossover segment.
