Niagara on the Lake, ON – Sunny skies and unseasonably warm weather marked Day 2 of AJAC's Canadian Car of the Year TestFest – the first full day of testing by all the voting AJAC members.
While the performance testing team completed acceleration and braking tests on the eight vehicle classes not tested on Sunday, about 80 other journalists individually evaluated approximately 180 new vehicles on public roads in the area and on a handling evaluation course laid out at the Niagara Regional Airport.
In total, 738 individual road tests were completed today. And acceleration and braking tests have now been completed on all 60 entries.
Individual evaluations will continue tomorrow and Wednesday morning. Ballots that will determine the Best New vehicles in each of the 11 categories must be completed by noon Wednesday.
The results will then be compiled by the international accounting firm KPMG and the category winners announced at a press conference on Thursday evening (October 24).
