Maserati has released images of the new Ghibli GranLusso luxury performance sedan that will be introduced at China’s Chengdu Motorshow today, four and a half years after the new sedan was introduced in Shanghai.
The GranLusso is the ultra luxury package available on Ghibli trim levels, offset by the performance package, the GranSport.
The new car highlights a design refreshing, with a new front bumper with chrome inserts, and new grille with chrome bars. The side features body-coloured skirts and a GranLusso script badge at the base of the front fenders, behind the wheels. At the rear, a new bumper is inset with a body-colour extractor. It all adds up to improvements in aerodynamic efficiency, in addition to looking sharper.
The other part of the enrichment is autonomous driving features, readying the luxury 4-door for the world of driverless functionality. Other technological upgrades include adaptive LED headlights, with glare-free matrix high-beam. As with the body panels, the feature not only looks good but is functional, offering up improvements in forward illumination.
More details will be available following the global introduction.
