Mazda has confirmed that it will reveal an all-new compact crossover utility vehicle, designated CX-3, at the Los Angeles auto show in November.
Built on the same family platform as the recently launched Mazda2 passenger car, it will slot beneath the CX-5 in Mazda's utility vehicle lineup and will compete with cars like the Chevrolet Trax, Honda HR-V and Nissan Juke,
The CX-3 will be the fifth new vehicle in Mazda's lineup to adopt its SkyActiv technology concept and KODO – Soul of Motion design idiom, joining the Mazda3, CX-5, MX-5 (Miata) and Mazda2.
Beyond a sketch Mazda released no further information on the CX-3, but it is expected to share many features, including its drivetrain, with the Mazda2.
Updated versions of the Mazda6 and CX-5 will also be revealed at the LA show.
