Dealer, fleet and OEM solutions provider Vincentric announced the results of its inaugural Best Fleet Value in Canada Awards for the 2012 model year, and it's a sweep for Sprinter.

Vincentric conducts a comprehensive total cost of ownership study that examines the competition and analyses the lifecycle costs of fleet vehicles. It found the 2012 Mercedes-Benz Spritner, compared to four of its main competitors, to offer the lowest lifecycle costs.

Lifecycle Cost Analysis methodology looks at depreciation, fuel costs, insurance, maintenance, repairs, financing, fees, taxes, and even opportunity, which is the loss of potential income as a result of owning and operating a vehicle. It uses several permutation of annual total distances traveled for 15 different distance/period combinations and measured 49 vehicle configurations from five models in three-quarter and one-tone full-size van segments.

The Sprinter has also been awarded the Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value award for full-size vans for three eyars running.
