Mercedes-Benz is celebrating 40 years of its G-Class with three “Stronger Than Time” editions, with two engine variants, including a 330-hp diesel inline-6 and a 422-hp biturbo V-8.

All versions follow the AMG-line, with AMG cues in the bumpers, protective strip, brake calipers and wheel arches. The G500 V-8 version also gets a sport exhaust system. A Stainless-Steel Package adds running boards, hard spare wheel cover, and door and hatchgate sill plates, while a Night Package adds darkened lights, tinted rear windows and obsidian black outside mirrors, spare wheel ring and bumper elements.
Interior appointments include a flat-bottom steering wheel, wide touchscreen display, active multi-way adjustable seats, Burmester surround sound system, multicolour ambient lighting and cargo area cover. The interior is available in black nappa leather golden stitching, or 2-tone schemes — macchiato beige/yacht blue, with high-gloss light brown Sen wood trim pieces, or macchiato beige/lounge red with piano black trim.

Performance features include a driver assistance suite, including 360-degree cameras for the parking assistance system, and adaptive damping suspension.
The cars also include LED headlights, 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels, a glass sunroof and Stronger Than Time puddle lamps. The exterior is painted in a choice of manganite grey, monza grey, citrine brown, olive metallic, diamond white, obsidian black and mojave silver.
