Mercedes-AMG GT - Paris Motor Show - The all-new Mercedes-AMG GT and GT S coupes, officially unveiled last month, made their public debut in Paris. Their long-hood, short-deck styling continues the profile of the SLS and the original SL, without the gull-wing doors, and their bodyshell is constructed almost totally of aluminum. Under the hood there's an all-new, 4.0 litre twin-turbocharged V-8, with the turbos mounted in the engine's vee. The GT version is rated at 462 horsepower and the GT S at 503 horsepower (in North America). Expected to be a direct competitor for the Jaguar F-Type and Porsche 911, the GT S will go on sale around May, 2015, with the GT scheduled to arrive later.

Mercedes-Benz Canada has released base-price details for the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S and the Mercedes-Maybach S 600.

Mercedes-AMG GT S

Canadian pricing for the 2016 Mercedes-AMG GT S will start at $149,900. The car is powered by a new AMG 4.0-litre V-8 Biturbo engine rated at 503 horsepower, driving through a 7-speed AMG DCT dual-clutch transmission. It is said to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just3.8 seconds.

The new sports car features lightweight construction resulting from extensive use of aluminum and a long list of standard features that include Nappa Leather AMG Performance Seats, LED High Performance Headlamps and Burmester Surround Sound.

Mercedes-Maybach S 600

Pricing for the flagship Mercedes-Maybach S 600 will start at $231,200. The Maybach version is stretched by more than 20 cm compared to the Mercedes-Benz S 600, providing exceptional legroom in the executive-class rear seating compartment. Exclusive standard features include the first sedan adaptation of Mercedes' Magic Sky Control technology and its innovative Magic Body Control suspension with camera based Road Surface Scan.

Additional package and option pricing details will be released closer to the Maybach's April 2015 launch date.
