Mini is using the SEMA show in Las Vegas to introduce a new John Cooper Works Tuning Kit for the 2018 Clubman and Countryman, adding to a catalog that already includes Mini Hatchback and Convertible

The new John Cooper Works Tuning Kit consists of a retrofit high-quality stainless-steel exhaust and engine software programming to increase power output and exhaust system performance, and adds some aftermarket components to provide the exterior with the proper enhanced look. It will fit any 2018 Cooper S or Cooper S ALL4 Clubman and Countryman. For aesthetics, the exhaust system can be fitted with chrome or carbon fiber tailpipes.

With the engine and exhaust modifications, the power outputs of the models rise to 208 hp (up from 189) and 211 lb-ft of torque, exhaust back pressure is reduced, and a nice exhaust note is produced. A Bluetooth controlled exhaust valve system allows a switch between Sport (for road use) and Sport-Plus (only for the track).

The kit will be available in January 2018 at an MSRP of $1,950 US, and can be installed at Mini dealers.
