Mini is again taking the U.S. … one track at a time.

The 2016 version of the Mini Takes the States tour kicks off from Braselton, Georgia July 9, 2016 from the legendary Road Atlanta track and finishes up two weeks and 6,500 km later at the Thermal Club in Palm Springs, California.

The biennial event brings together thousands of Mini employees, owners and enthusiasts, paying tribute to the marque’s racing successes by stopping off at tracks in Charlotte (North Carolina), Richmond (Virginia), Baltimore (Maryland), Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania), Detroit and St. Ignace (Michigan), Green Bay (Wisconsin), Minneapolis (Minnesota), Sioux Falls and Sturgis (South Dakota), Cheyenne (Wyoming), Park City (Utah) and Las Vegas (Nevada).

Yes, that’s a city a day.

“MINI TAKES THE STATES is one of the most anticipated experiences that the MINI community takes part in every other year,” said David Duncan, Vice President Mini of the Americas. “Owning a Mini is about being a part of a community and never is that more evident than during MINI TAKES THE STATES. We can’t wait to hit the road!”

Registration for the event is available at minitakesthestates.com, with fees set at $40 (US) for single city events (the evening the rally arrives in town and the following morning’s festivities) or $75 for multiple events. The fees include access to all related events for the city (cities) of registration and a gift bag. Participants are responsible for all other costs (hotels, fuel, meals, etc.). A portion of the proceeds from registrations go towards a yet-to-be-announced charity.

This marks the sixth version of the road-rally, which started in 2006 as a way to connect the Mini brand with owners and fans.
