Mopar announced at the 2016 SEMA show in Las Vegas that it is making it easier for enthusiasts to restore classic Mopar cars through the establishment of an online catalogue of licensed restoration parts.
More than 9,000 parts from more than 45 licensed Mopar restoration parts makers will be conveniently available at www.mopar.com/restoration, and those that aren’t readily available will have the further resource of Classic Industries to locate other parts sources.
As a side introduction to the announcement, the company also announced Crate HEMI Engine Kits to assist in plugging late model 5.7-litre and 6.4-litre HEMI V-8s into classic Mopar cars from 1975 or earlier.
“The debut of our new Mopar restoration parts online resource, paired with the introduction of new Mopar Crate HEMI Engine Kits, underscores the Mopar brand’s commitment to delivering classic Mopar owners the parts they need to restore their rides,” said Pietro Gorlier, Head of Parts and Service (Mopar), FCA – Global. “This ‘one-stop shop’ website is a consolidated database of approved Mopar licensees that will save time and provide peace of mind to vintage Mopar owners and restoration workshops alike.”
One of the downloads available is the latest 558-page Classic Industries Mopar Catalog, available in PDF format that can be viewed from a tablet or printed out for a hard-copy resource. And, of course, there are multiple ways to interact with the company for ordering and support.
Among the more popular parts available online are interior and exterior badges, body decals, body panels such as hoods and fenders, grilles, radiators, bumpers, spoilers, steering wheels, gauges and gauge clusters. and upholstery and carpets.
Searches can be carried out by product categories (exterior trim, sheet metal, interior components, manuals, etc.), and by parts makers.
