The past couple years, Ford has used the occasion of St. Patrick’s Day to unveil a new green colour, and for the 2020 Mustang, expected in dealerships this fall, that is a new lime green.

The new vibrant Grabber Lime is inspired by the metallic lime green of 1970s’ Mustangs and will be available on all Mustang iterations (including Shelby GT350 and GT500 models), joining another new feature colour, Twister Orange.
“It’s lime green on steroids,” said Barb Whalen, Ford colour and materials manager. “This colour traces back to a Mustang heritage colour while bringing it forward with more modern, dynamic pigments and bold new energy.”
The colours were added in response to current trends that promote youthful exuberance aspiration and confidence.

“These bright, vibrant retro colours are trending in design – in home furnishings, sportswear and even appliances,” said Whalen. “Aspirational and confident, they are fun, youthful colours that make a statement of how you want the world to see you and who you want to be. And your car is an extension of that.”
