Porsche North America is getting its very own 911 Carrera – a Rennsport Reunion Edition of the GTS that’s meant to commemorate the gathering of past racing Porsches at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca, and which is limited to 25 models all allocated exclusively to North America.
Like the GTS on which it is based, the Rennsport Reunion Edition gets power from the 3.8-litre horizontally-opposed six-cylinder (Boxer) engine that makes 430-hp and can propel the car to 100 km/h in about 4.5 seconds and help it attain a top speed of 306 km/h. Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) is standard fitment.
Built by Porsche Exclusive, the 911 Carrera GTS Rennsport Reunion Edition is custom painted in Fashion Grey, with decorative black and red decals cover the front luggage compartment, roof, and rear deck lid, as well as matching door decals with the traditional Porsche script. The minimalist look is enhanced by 20-inch Sport Classic wheels painted in high-gloss black (matching the lower side-mirror housings and satellite radio antenna) and black backgrounds for the front LED lights.
The interior is equally simple and elegant, with a carbon fibre dash piece above the glove box displaying the Special Edition designation (matched on the illuminated door sills), and Carmine Red accent stitching on the black door trim, floor mats and SportDesign steering wheel. The red is matched on the large centre tachometer in the instrument panel, and the Rennsport Reunion V logo is embossed on the centre console compartment lid. The key is painted Fashion Grey to match the car’s exterior and it comes in a leather pouch with Carmine Red accents and the Rennsport Reunion Edition lettering.
Other interior standards include 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats with the GTS logo stitched into the headrests in Carmine Red, and a Bose Audio Package.
The car is available for order immediately, starting at $148,335 U.S. The 911 Carrera GTS starts at $130,300 in Canada.
