Nissan's all-new 2013 Sentra compact sedan will go on sale at Canadian Nissan dealers at the end of October with a price tag starting at just $14,848 CDN.
That's for a base1.8 S model, with 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine and six-speed manual transmission.
Only one engine is offered but an automatic Xtronic CVT (continuously variable transmission) is available as an option. It is said to help deliver a 13% improvement in combined fuel economy (versus the previous generation Sentra).
CVT-equipped models are rated at 4.9L/100km on the highway and 6.6L/ 100 km in the city, resulting in a best-in-class 5.8L/100km combined rating (compared to non-hybrid and non-diesel mid-size 2012 models) and providing and a more-than 860-km real-world driving range.
Nissan says the Sentra's new premium interior provides roominess that is also among the best in segment, as well as a broad range of available comfort and driver-focused technology features.
Pricing for other models is as follows:
1.8 S CVT $17,548 CDN
1.8 SV M6 $17,548 CDN
1.8 SV CVT $18,848 CDN
1.8 SR CVT $19,948 CDN
1.8 SL CVT $22,998 CDN
