The Grey Cup-winning Toronto Argonauts football team were paraded through Toronto yesterday in Nissan vehicles to celebrate their victory.
As the official automotive partner of the Canadian Football League (CFL), Nissan Canada provided a fleet of vehicles to carry the players and other officials in the parade. And the vehicles were driven by Nissan employees.
A total of28 Nissan Titan pickup trucks and one Nissan 370Z convertible transported the Argonauts players, coaches and their families through town. The official VIP vehicle for the Grey Cup Festival was the all-new Nissan Pathfinder.
"Toronto is Nissan Canada’s hometown, so we are especially proud of the Toronto Argonauts’ 16th Grey Cup victory and offer our sincere congratulations to the team on behalf of everyone at Nissan," said Judy Wheeler, Director of Marketing at Nissan Canada.
The parade to celebrate the club’s 16th Grey Cup win, its first since 2004, began at Wellington St. & Yonge St. and travelled west to Bay St, then north up Bay St, concluding on stage in Nathan Phillips Square where it was greeted by City of Toronto officials.
