Nissan Juke-R - #001 - Front

It started as what seemed to be just an outrageous concept car – a diminutive Nissan Juke fitted with a monster engine from the company's hyper-performance GT-R.

Then Nissan demonstrated and prototype. And said it would actually build a few for sale – to order. Now, Juke-R production model #001 has been built and tested and is ready to go.

With something in the order of 585 horsepower on tap, it's projected to accelerate from 0-to-100 km/h in about 3.5 seconds and top out somewhere north of 260 km/h!

Coincident with production of the first road car, the Juke-R has been digitally recreated to make it accessible to millions. Along with the new Juke NISMO, it is the star of the new Gameloft 'Asphalt 7: Heat' mobile video game.

Gameloft, a global publisher of digital and social games, has partnered with Nissan to let fans drive the latest and hottest members of the Juke family on iOS and Android smartphones and tablets.

From Paris to Rio, the game lets drivers compete in ruthless races, in either single or multi-player mode.

So if you're not one of the lucky handful to get your hands on the real thing...
