Suzuki will reveal a new concept car called the S-Cross at the 2012 Paris auto show in September.

According to the company it heralds the arrival of a new C-segment (compact) crossover model from Suzuki, although no mention has been made of when that production model will arrive or where it will be sold.

According to Suzuki, the crossover concept S-Cross embodies an "Emotion x Quality x Aerodynamics design theme, typified by distinctive dynamic lines that start on the front bumper, sweep across the doors, and continue to the rear of the body."

Design elements which that stability and solidity help create a cutting-edge crossover look, the company says.

If the actual vehicle comes anywhere close to the teaser sketch it promises to be a good-looking addition to the already crowded CUV class.

The 2012 Paris Motor Show will be open to the press on 27 and 28 September and then to the general public from September29 to October 14.
