Following the lead of many others in the industry, Volkswagen will start marketing all its driver-assist technologies under a marketing umbrella, called IQ.DRIVE.

The IQ.DRIVE suite will encompass intelligent assistance systems for parking (rear cross traffic alert), driving (lane keeping assist) and general safety (front collision mitigation with emergency braking), and will also be stocked up with all the autonomous driving technologies in development (all the way up to Level 5 – full autonomy without the need for a driver), including such technologies as exiting the car at the curb and sending it off to find a parking spot.

An advertising campaign promoting the new suite of technologies will start this weekend, starting with a TV commercial that looks to the future of driving by highlighting the systems that Volkswagen already has in place, such as remote control parking (which allows car parking in tight parking spaces with the driver out of the vehicle), traffic jam assist (where the car will move in unison with traffic around it without driver inputs), and travel assist (where the vehicle with change lanes without driver input). The spot ends with the fully-autonomous electric I.D. Vizzion.

The campaign will also involve billboards, mall displays, social media and internet advertising.
