Million-dollar classics at 2020 Amelia Island Auctions
In addition to kicking off the classic car show season, the Amelia Island Concours d'Elegance has become the backdrop for one of the most successful classic car auction weekends on the annual calendar and 2020 was no exception. Three auction houses - Bonhams, Gooding and RM Sotheby's - held events at Amelia, with combined sales of $77.9M (US). Of 350 lots offered, 309 sold for a sell-through rate of 88%, up from 69% last year. The average vehicle sale price was $252,241 (US) according to Hagerty's, and 13 vehicles in total topped the $1-million (US) sale mark. Heres a look at some of those million-dollar sellers - plus a couple that remain unsold.
