2020 World Car Awards Short Lists Revealed
Short lists of finalists for the 2020 World Car Awards, in five categories, were revealed today in a press conference at the Delhi Auto Expo in India. From those short-lists, 86 automotive journalists from 23 countries, who make up the World Car jury, will begin their final round of voting to select the winners, based on their individual evaluations of each candidate.

The ‘Top Three in the World’, in each of the five categories will be revealed at the Geneva Motor Show, in Switzerland, on March 3, 2020 and the winners will be announced as part of the opening ceremonies for the 2020 New York International Auto Show on April 8, 2020.

Delhi Auto Expo
The Delhi press conference was the third major stop on The Road to World Car 2020, which began with the reveal of eligible vehicles at the Frankfurt Motor Show last September and continued with the program’s annual L.A. Test Drives in Los Angeles in November. It was the World Car Awards’ first official event in India, which is home to six of the 86 jurors and is now the world’s fourth-largest car market.

The countdown is now on for the New York reveal of 2020 World Car winners in five vehicle categories: World Car of the Year; World Luxury Car; World Performance Car; World Urban Car; and World Car Design of the Year.
