2020 Montreal Auto Show
With the Detroit auto show now moved to June, Montreal is the first major North American auto show of the year and, as such, it plays host to a number of significant Canadian premieres of new models and concepts. Here are some of the most significant.

2020 Mustang Mach-E

Hyundai 45 EV Concept
The Hyundai 45 EV Concept is the Korean carmaker's homage to the Pony Coupe styling prototype that defined its design philosophy 45 years ago. Its wind-cheating lightweight body, inspired by planes from the 1920s and wrapped around a monocoque chassis, also featured front and rear fascias canted by 45 degrees.

2020 Corvette Stingray
This attractive Chevrolet Corvette Stingray 1LT is the most affordable version of the 8th-generation, mid-engine sports car that was crowned North American Car of the Year a few days earlier. A 2LT model with the popular Z51 performance option will also be shown in Montreal.

2021 Chevrolet Traiblazer
GM also brought its all-new 2021 Chevrolet Traiblazer to the Montreal show, ready to wage battle in the hot compact sport-utility category, with a choice of two gasoline engines and plenty more. This RS version is the sportiest of the three available trims.

2020 Mazda CX-30
Mazda unveiled the CX-30, its newest entry on the boiling-hot compact SUV segment, slotting in between the CX-3 and CX-5, sizewise.

2020 Subaru Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid
The eagerly-awaited 2020 Subaru Crosstrek Plug-in Hybrid makes its national entrance at the Montreal International Auto Show, combining Subaru's true all-wheel drive system with a chargeable hybrid powertrain, built around the carmaker's 2.0-litre boxer engine, that yields a modest 27 kilometres of full-electric range.

2020 Toyota RAV4 Prime
In its Canadian premiere, the 2021 Toyota RAV4 Prime is powered by a 302-horsepower, rechargeable hybrid powertrain that will propel the country's current best-selling non-truck nameplate to 100 km/h in 5.8 seconds and provide 60 kilometres of pure electric range. It can only strengthen the RAV4's position as the country's new best-selling non-truck nameplate.

2021 Mitsubishi Mirage

McLaren Senna Can-Am
This rarest of sports cars is one of only 23 versions of the McLaren Senna GTR, created as a rolling homage to the fabulous McLaren cars that long dominated the original Can-Am series, done in the legendary team's signature Papaya Orange, with an 814-horsepower version of the GTR's 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V-8. The other side has Denny Hulme's number (5) and signature.

2020 Porsche Taycan Turbo S
Montreal showgoers will be the first in this country to see the all-electric, all-wheel drive, Porsche Taycan Turbo S, with dual electric motors that deliver up to 751 horsepower and with more than 400 kilometres of range in optimum conditions, according to independent tests. A Taycan Turbo is also on display.

Mercedes-Benz GLB
The Montreal show will also host the first Canadian public appearance of the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLB compact luxury sport-utility, thanks to a group effort by the region's dealers for the German carmaker with the famous three-pointed star crest, even though the company is not part of the show.
